Hodisa Agriculture conducted independent trials in the summer rainfall areas of South Africa in the summer of 2016 and 2017 using Crofft on maize, soya beans and sunflowers. All the trials were strip trials in the Bethlehem area of the eastern Free State under rain fed conditions. The year was a particularly good one with regard to the rain received so crop growth and final yields were above the area average. In summary,
Sunflowers – the increase in yield above control was 7.96% with the treated average at 2.881 tonnes per hectare versus treated at 3.110 tonnes per hectare.
Soya – The increase in yield above control was 12.96% with the treated average at 1.752 tonnes per hectare versus treated at 1.978 tonnes per hectare.
Maize – The increase in yield above control was 12.09% with the treated average at 8.929 tonnes per hectare versus treated at 10.008 tonnes per hectare.
