In May our Managing Director visited Mbeya to see Rungwe Avocado company (RAC.) RAC grow 100 hectares of Haas Avocados for both the export and local market. In addition RAC provide assistance and advice to small scale avocado growers in the area and provide a packing facility for their produce.
RAC have conducted a trial using Austar to contain vegetation and to promote yield and the initial results look very promising. We eagerly await the results in July!
